ARTIST STATEMENT - How My Art Evolved

I have always had a love of art especially paintings by Constable and Turner and as a child I was always sketching images .

Then the 60s arrived and everything changed: loved rock music, met a beautiful woman, got married, had children, bought a home.

No time for art.

Arrived in Australia in 69: young family, new home, great neighbours, loved drive in movies, footy, barbecues.

No time for art

Retired in 2003, played golf, travelled, and later volunteered at the "G" Sports Museum. It was only when tragedy struck in 2014 heart attack, 5 by-passes later then 2015 Cancerous tumour took me close to death.

Time for art.

I Started painting when rehabilitating and found it so relaxing and fulfilling and then showing my art at shows, my favourite The Camberwell Art Show.

The problem was my reluctance to sell my art as I was so attached to it.

Now is the time.
