ANTHEA FORBES
I returned to Art after a forty year respite, retiring from a high pressure job in
marketing, to discover I could still draw and enjoy it !!
This lead me to join the Steels Creek Art group, then hold 2 open studios in that time.
I moved to Alexandra 5 years ago with my special needs son and my husband, where
we were welcomed into this friendly community.
Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to display and sell my artwork and cards in
local businesses throughout the shire, plus teach Art at our local U3A.
My favourite mediums are pastels, coloured pencils, ink and wash and scratchboard.
My proudest achievement here, was building & coordinating the Murrindindi Carer's
group.
With 35 years prior experience setting up and running other carer support groups in
the Yarra Ranges area.
The Murrindindi Carers Group, allows carers to make valuable connections, receive
respite and make new friends, all in a safe environment.
