MICHAEL DALLY

Michael is a retired oncologist who enjoys oil painting, photography and gardening in Marysville. He finds the discipline of painting similar to his working life, with understanding or observing a particular situation or subject followed by in-depth problem solving, a common theme.

This year he has chosen the humble pumpkin as the subject for two paintings, imaginatively called Pumpkin I and Pumpkin II. Perhaps the pumpkin lends itself to a prolonged sitting, perhaps it embodies the complimentary colours of green and orange or it can simply be eaten afterwards. It is left to the viewer to decide.
