I am a mixed media Artist, working with ceramics, painting,
watercolours, textiles and wood. I am strongly influenced by
my surrounding. Nature in all its beauty.
I am drawn to flowers, leaves and trees. A beautiful tree will
stop me in my tracks. Spending time between the bush and
the beach gives me diversity and inspiration. Wandering
around looking at fallen leaves or the sun sliding into the
ocean. Stopping to photograph a tree dressed in all her
autumn colours for a spark on an idea that keeps me awake
at night.
When I am creating, I am frenetic. I am impatient to ene the
finished piece. Then, there is the slog ! This tin
endless. Will it come together ? The doubt, the insecunty. 1
get to the peak and I can see the outline of my original spark
and I push on.
I hope you like what I have created. I try to bring colour into
a world that can often be black and white in its bleakness.
We do not need more "angst" we need more "Joy".
